Dennis Tolbert – Owner of Budget Garage Door and Repair
Already an established professional with a strong sales background, in 1998 Dennis joined a major regional garage door distributor and manufacturer located in Dallas, TX. This would mark the beginning of his journey into the garage door industry. In his role as the company’s Sales Manager, Dennis was responsible for the growth of the business along with managing existing customer accounts. During his eight-year commitment to the company Dennis created an excellent reputation in the industry and became the go-to guy for many local business owners needing to purchase residential and commercial garage doors. In 2006 Dennis took on a new and challenging role as the Facilities General Manager for another large garage door distributor and manufacturer in the Dallas/Fort-Worth Area. During the period of 2006-2017 working closely with corporate executives, engineers, and a strong marketing team, they were able to design and to distribute high quality garage doors for their clients. Customer satisfaction was a high priority which they were able to deliver by providing an excellent product that homeowner and business owners would enjoy for years.
After deciding to leave the distributor and manufacturing side of the business. Dennis and a business partner launched their first local garage door installation and repair business. Thanks to their passion and experience with garage doors Dennis and his partner’s business flourished and their company grew to a larger than expected. Eventually leading to similar larger company corporate environment as his previous employers, the company lost its small business family-oriented culture. This is would create the start of Budget Garage Door and Repair. Based in Rockwall, TX, Dennis decided to start a new venture with the help of his wife, family, friends, national vendors, and most importantly a list of loyal customers. Having grown up in a single parent household, Dennis understood the definition of the word “Budget”.
